Increasingly, employers are interested more in what students can do rather than simply what they know and this quality, sometimes called 'graduateness' is at the heart of this Combined Studies programme. Most careers depend less on the specific subject studied and more on the abilities, attitudes and experience that the graduate brings. See www.prospects.ac.uk for further information.

What will you learn?
At level four you take three subjects and develop core educational and employment skills in effective studying, critical thinking and the use of IT. At levels five and six you focus on two subjects and these form the basis of your named award. You can take the two subjects as a major (75%) and minor (25%) combination or two equals (50%). For example you take a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology and graduate BSc (Hons) Psychology with Sociology, or you take equals in English and Education Studies and graduate BA (Hons) English and Education Studies.
