What is the Magic for Special Education?

Magic for Special Education may be the worlds first
Education program designed to teach skills to people with a disability not taught to regular students. Learning to perform magic will build self-confidence and self-esteem while improving the mental and physical skills of special education students.

Magic for Special Education can be adapted to most programs that serve people with disabilities. Programs to be included are group homes, recreation, life skills, camps and job training.

The Society of American Magicians will administer the Magic for Special Education program. All instructional and support materials will be provided "free" to instructors and all of the magic tricks can be made from common household items.

The concept of special education students developing skills that other students do not have makes Magic for Special Education unique in the field of education
